Artist's Statement

As the name of this painting indicates, I have been on a mission to perfect this piece of pop art for quite some time. So far, this painting has had four iterations.

As the painting has stood in my studio, I have mused over it, walked past it, and thought, “What do I really want from this painting?” I just had not been satisfied with the results…. until now...now being 2015. I'm finally satisfied, and hopefully my contentment with this painting lasts so that I can finally say that my “Pop Mission” is complete.
