Sailboat

Sculpture description: 58"x76"mixed media on wood.  

This sailboat is made from repurposed wood that came from a remodel of a 1920s house. The colored pieces (the green, blue and pink) are original pieces from the house. I gently sanded them to maintain their integrity and to reveal their multi-layer colors. The other pieces are from the remodel project as well, which I painted and meticulously fastened with the original pieces to create the shape of a sailboat.
